I want to transfer all data from my three old computers onto my new one.
What's the best way to do that without losing any data? How should I transfer all data from my old computers to a new one?
The easiest way, if you are using windows, is to use the ';Files and Settings Transfer Wizard';, here is an article to help http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using鈥?/a>
If, like many homes you have a router, it is also simple to just connect all the computers to the router with ethernet cables. On each computer, set up the File sharing on the C drives and you can then copy all the files you want to your new hard-drive.
You could also copy the files to an USB hard-drive and copy them over that way.How should I transfer all data from my old computers to a new one?
What I did was pulled the hard drive out, logged on to ebay and purchased a hard drive enclosure kit, it cost me $6. It turns your old hard drive into an external USB drive. You can move data around pretty easily with it.
