What must I include in a legend that represents a scientific data e.g legend for table, bar graphs?

So confused please help! Do I need to compare the data? or is comparing for the analysis only.

Or do I just explain how i obtained the data? What must I include in a legend that represents a scientific data e.g legend for table, bar graphs?
A legend of a graph (or rarely a table) is a list of details about the graph that enables people to understand your data. It is usually presented in a box next to the graph.

for instance - if on your graph little red triangles represent dogs, little blue circles represent cats and little green squares represent parrots then you would have in your legend a little blue circle with CATS written next to it, a little green square with PARROTS written next to it and a little red triangle with DOGS written next to it.

That way people can look at your graph and know what bits refer to dogs, cats and parrots.

On a bar graph - you may have a blue bar for cats, a green bar for parrots and a red bar for dogs. In this case you would have a little red box with DOGS, a little blue box with CATS and a little green box with PARROTS in your legend so people knew which bar represented data about which animal.

Hope that is clear enough.
