You could use a USB bridge cable to directly connect the two computers and transfer files the way you move them around between folders.
You could use a USB flash drive if the files aren't that big.
You could use a portable hard drive if you have a lot of large files.

Without a bucket and a spoon you have no chance unless you use the transfer wizard that came with the Vista package.
You have to buy a flash drive or a external had drive and put the information on you laptop on the device. then plug the device into your computer at home and then transfer it over it's really easy when you go and purchase one or the other there going to be instruction on how to do this
1) USB drive
2) (assuming both machines are on network) share drive on one, connect to it from another, copy
