I have a workbook that I need to forward. It has several sheets of data but I want the email recipiant to only be able to see one sheet and not to be able to view the rest of the workbook. Password protect each sheet you want to protect, hide those sheets, then password protect the sheet you are sharing and hide the formulas.

How to safely erase all data from an external hard drive?
I have a 1TB Seagate External Hard drive that I would like to sell since I am getting one with a larger capacity. I heard that even formatting the drive will not erase all data. I have personal data that I would like to completely get rid of before selling.How to safely erase all data from an external hard drive?

Sorry but DBAN wipes out ALL hard drives on the computer. I ONLY want to wipe out my external hard drive.
Also, DBAN does NOT wipe out any USB devices or removable media, meaning I CANNOT wipe out an external hard drive.
Download a program like Secure Erase, or Eraser and run it on the drive. It will take a few hours, especially with a drive that size, but it will overwrite all the data multiple times to destroy anything you previously saved on there.

How do I show the data on my excel pivottable?
I highlighted the two data columns I wanted to use. Then went to create the pivottable. I then took my two data catagories and assigned them to the top and left of my table. I can't seem to add data into the part that says ';drop data items here';. If I double click a cell it opens a new worksheet showing the data associated with that cell. I don't have excel in front of me to be able to get the exact instructions, but you should get a pop-up box when you click on a field button that has a drop-down list at the bottom where you can choose rows or columns, etc and then you click on an item from the list in the white box above to link the information to that part of the pivot table.

I am having a problem with this new version of Excel. I right click the chart, chose select data, add a new series and highlight my desired x and y values then return to the chart. The first time i do this (for a second series) it works but then after that it shows the third series in the legend but no data on the graph. I never should have switched over to the new version. My guess is that the data for the 3rd series is off the scale of the existing graph. Maybe you just need to change the X scale or Y scale (or both).
